AboUt Me
I’m a biomedical scientist, a fantasy and science fiction reader, and I dedicate myself to telling geeky stories…
I talk about books and I write because I don’t know how to live without doing it.
I always thought I was going to save the world.
I studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Barcelona, driven by a deep passion for science and an almost romantic vision of it. In my mind, research was discovery, purpose, and the real possibility of changing lives. For a long time, I believed I would end up curing cancer or finding fundamental answers about how the world works.
Reality set in when I began researching abroad. My first experiences in Japan, England, and the Netherlands taught me about science from the inside: rigorous, fascinating… but also limited. Little by little, I understood that, although I was passionate about knowledge, that path wasn’t giving me something I desperately needed: to create and share.
I was missing storytelling.
I was missing connecting with other people.
And that’s where literature began to take hold.
I had always read fantasy and science fiction, but it was then that I understood that these genres were the perfect place where my two worlds coexisted: scientific curiosity and boundless imagination. I left academia to dedicate myself to creating content, analyzing books that fascinated me, and exploring stories that stimulate intelligence, emotion, and critical thinking.
Today I write, read, and talk about books because I firmly believe that science fiction and fantasy are not niche genres, nor are they mindless escapism. They are tools for reflecting on the present, imagining possible futures, and better understanding ourselves as a society.
My mission is to demonstrate that these genres are for everyone.
That they can be profound, accessible, exciting, and transformative.
And that, sometimes, imagining other worlds is the best way to understand our own.
